New York City's Christmas Sights
The morning after Christmas, Colette and I headed in to New York City, to see a dear friend, enjoy the sights of Christmas in the city, and do a bit of exploring. We headed off by subway and on foot, just as it was getting dark, to see some of the most iconic sights. Here's a little tour of what we saw:
St. Patrick's Cathedral.
The facade of Saks Fifth Avenue was the backdrop for a fabulous musically-synchronized light show. Beautiful!
Ice skaters at Rockefeller Center.
And we ended our evening by seeing the Broadway play, "Sylvia", starring Matthew Broderick, at the Cort Theater. It's a smallish theater, but so pretty inside...retaining much of its historic beauty.
